Junji Ito - Tomie - Suminagashi Edition
Tomie - Suminagashi
One of a kind hand-made silkscreen print on hand-marbled paper.
Each piece in this listing is unique and one of a kind, so you'll get the very print you see in the drop-down menu.
To create the vibrant one of a kind backgrounds we used the ancient Japanese marbling technique Suminagashi (墨 流 し or "floating ink") The art of Suminagashi was born in Japan slightly after the year 1000 as a technique to dye paper through the use of ink (sumi) that floats (nagashi) on water.
On top of the Suminagashi pattern, we hand-printed our Uzumaki artwork in two layers.
Please note the prints are slightly wavy due to the marbling process.
Paper size approx. A4: 210mm W x 285mm H (size might vary slightly)
We can combine postage if you also want to purchase other prints, just drop us a line.
Please note our Suminagashi prints have a slightly higher price than our other prints as creating the marbled backgrounds is quite time intensive.
